Acre would like to speak to individuals with experience in high risk environments, ideally from within the food industry, to work on a dynamic and fast-paced site.

In this family run business, Health and Safety is of paramount importance and you will be responsible for the largest site in the organisation, making this a critical role for the organisation. Five business divisions are located on site, creating a complex and diverse environment. Therefore, having experience of dealing with varying different stakeholders successfully will be beneficial.

You will have full autonomy for managing all Health, Safety and Risk operations for the site. Our client places significant importance on having a positive safety culture, therefore having ideas about ways to improve Health and Safety performance and driving cultural change is key.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing Health and Safety management systems
  • Ensure correct reporting of accidents, incidents and behavioural conversations as well as coordinating appropriate investigation analysis for on-site issues
  • Identify specific Health and Safety training needs and ensure appropriate training is provided
  • Participate in Group Safety events and projects as required
  • Support the Group Environmental Policy by managing resources to minimise the site's environmental impact

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
  • Knowledge of developing or maintaining OHSAS 18001
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills
  • A driven and motivated personality, with a passion to encourage others
