Acre is working in an exclusive partnership with a global asset manager to appoint an experienced Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) Engagement Specialist to join their growing team. The team comprises of a combination of regional, thematic and technical specialists with a sound understanding of sustainability in relation to the performance of business models and strategy. This is an opportunity to engage globally with companies across sectors to instil positive change.
Working collegiately, the ESG Engagement Specialist will be responsible for:
Developing a comprehensive strategy for engagement across specified sectors, geographies and thematic/ ESG topics
Leading company engagement with senior stakeholders such as board members, exec leadership teams and investor relations
Lead and collaborate in collective engagements as part of external initiatives
Contribute to the ongoing integration of ESG across the investment process and work closely with investment teams to deliver best practice
Producing high quality thematic thought pieces, research, analysis and reporting
Advantageous experience includes:
Engaging with companies to drive sustainability impact and change
Analysing human rights, biodiversity or natural capital in a supply chain or broader business context
Exposure to corporate governance or proxy voting
Experience of working collaboratively with investment teamson ESG topics and sector specific research
An academic background in economics, finance or business
