As part of the organisation's agenda to further embed and operationalise sustainability, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Social Commitment to deliver on a strategy to ensure Chanel is a people-centred, responsible and purposeful company.

Reporting to the Head of Global Social Commitment, and part of Chanel's Global Organisation & People team, as well as the Global Sustainability team, you will play a key role in developing and managing an integrated social commitment agenda, building and promoting a new corporate participative philanthropic approach for Chanel.

The role will guide strategic, high-impact projects globally whilst developing and using best practices in the industry. This is an exciting opportunity, ensuring that the social commitment agenda is carried out and facilitates in embarking Chanel's people to become the best advocates and ambassadors of their organisational initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing social commitment actions and participative corporate approach that engages all employees and key stakeholders in order to create positive impact on society and local needs of each territory the business operates

  • Supporting in building and managing internal communities working on social commitment topics such as CSR, internal communications, HR and Fondation ambassadors

  • Launching and implementing global projects, partnerships and events to support the awareness and expertise of Chanel's people around human rights, social issues, UN goals and social ecosystems

  • Developing strategic external stakeholder relationships and links with professional NGOs, social entrepreneurs and other organisations to ensure relevant benchmarks and inspirational practices are adopted

Requirements include:

  • A track record in developing integrated social programmes for a global organization

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Broad knowledge of responsible and sustainable practices; human rights, social inclusion, and social entrepreneurship

  • Very strong relationship and engagement skills; flexible to change with the ability to influence and inspire

  • Fluency in French is hugely advantageous
