sed within an Asset Management Foundation, we are searching for an ACADEMIC PROJECT MANAGER: GENDER DIVERISTY IN EMERGING MARKETS.

The Foundation's mission has recently evolved to promote and encourage sustainable and responsible growth in emerging markets to align with the skills and experience already found within the fund. The Foundation will achieve this by working to support, fund and draw attention to important third-party research on emerging market sustainability issues. We also intend to commission and distribute academic-based research ourselves where there are gaps in current data or understanding. With this new partnership model the Foundation will collaborate with individuals, organisations and institutions on research topics and provide grants and 'catalytic capital' when required.

Our first area of focus will be to develop knowledge on the societal value of improving gender diversity within emerging market businesses. It is hoped that research will take place within emerging market academic and non-profit organisations and all findings will be publicly available to further global understanding in this important area.

The suitable candidate must have relevant experience commissioning and/or conducting collaborative research and using research results to engage and advocate on sustainability issues, ideally within the world of business and finance. The first year will be focused on gender and equality in emerging markets and how it relates to sustainable development and sustainable growth at the company level. The candidate will be responsible, with the oversight of the Trustees, for identifying and commissioning a number of research projects in the first year, setting up reporting and payment structures.

The right candidate may have studied sustainability or gender issues as an academic or worked in research at a research institution or a sustainability-themed non-profit or think-tank. It would be an advantage to be well connected in academic and non-profit circles. An understanding of emerging market contexts and strong organisational and managerial skills are required, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.

Charity administration and fundraising experience is not required but confidence in delivering the results of the research in person is a must.
