GlobeScan, a boutique, employee-owned consultancy operating globally and collaboratively, is searching for a Director to help drive its efforts in the APAC market. Having been in operation for 35 years, dedicated to sustainable development and being B-Corp certified, sustainability is at the core of their purpose-led operations.

As GlobeScan's new Director, you will be delivering leadership and management at a senior level on GlobeScan's custom projects; consulting and collaborating with clients, projects and supporting team members, as well as ensuring the region is effectively set up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with project managers, analysts and assistants to work up analyses and draft reports, and interprets data in a concise, well-structured manner

  • Works with Advances Analysis team to add further value to reports using advanced analyses and the implications for clients

  • Leads in managing projects, including oversight on the work plan, deliverable schedule and budget, and monitoring GSPI to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded

  • Responsible for the management and growth of key accounts based on agreed-to account/client-earned revenue objectives set annually

  • Manages and grows a portfolio of clients under guidance of senior management. Prepares and delivers on client/account development plan

  • Develops questionnaires and discussion guides that meet client objectives following Questionnaire Design Protocol in collaboration with Directors, VP Methodology and Advanced Analytics and Global Field Senior PM

  • Lead on drafting proposals, includes objectives, research design, including sample frame and methodology, analysis, deliverables, timelines

  • Assumes line management responsibilities for assigned team members; provides leadership, inspiration, mentoring, coaching and support; conducts annual performance reviews, sets and tracks throughout calendar year personal development and business objectives aligned with company goals

  • Present and co-present components of proposals and capability pitches to clients and prospects. Executes on business development plan as part of the Business Development Team

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in sustainability evidence-led market research or consultancy

  • Experience in advising clients on positioning and strategy development, benchmarking and materiality assessments

  • Background in corporate communications and affairs, assessing reputation and issues management

  • Proven track record in line managing team members, providing leadership, inspiration, mentoring, coaching and support

  • Self-starter mentality and highly collaborative mindset

  • Strong cultural knowledge of the APAC market, either living in or from Singapore or Hong Kong

  • Relevant network with corporate communications functions in both Asian and Western-based companies

  • Have a strong sense of purpose and mission, passionate about sustainability and driving change
