Are you an Ecologist or Biodiversity professional with a background in policy looking for a change? Or are you a field based Ecologist looking to take a step up with the opportunity to work on one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe? This could be the role for you.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a lean, but skilled biodiversity team, to make a significant impact on a hyper-scale infrastructure project by assisting in developing and overseeing the delivery of the biodiversity agenda in keeping with their programme needs, statutory requirements and broader external requirements in order to deliver on biodiversity commitments, proposals and plans.

You will also deliver high quality technical advice to the project in order to ensure the best possible outcomes from a biodiversity perspective and ensure compliance with agreed standards and legislation. You will also manage outputs and monitor allocated budgets and external grant agreements.

Your role will be contributing to the development and delivery of the external communication plan regarding biodiversity goals and progress, especially with regards to 'no net loss' and the 'green corridor'.

You will ideally have experience providing strategic / policy focussed advice on UK biodiversity issues. You'll also have experience engaging and working closely with biodiversity/conservation stakeholders in order to deliver biodiversity related goals.

Experience in ecological impact assessments and environmental statements is also ideal.
