Job Purpose:

The Business Developer will manage the process of developing and enhancing ZDHC Roadmap to Zero implementation products, such as the ZDHC Gateway Checktools, in order to meet customer expectations effectively and secure new revenues. You will conduct research, develop and define value propositions and business models, and supervise the design process of product solutions for new prospects and existing customers in a global market. This position requires an experienced, strategic, highly organised Business Developer who can work through the full sales cycle; identifying key target sectors and segments, supporting our marketing team to formulate product descriptions, integrated, targeted marketing plan, and identifying prospects with a high propensity to purchase, building relationships with key decision-makers and securing new revenues.

You are a team player who is self-motivated, focused and able to deliver. To be successful in this role, you have excellent business acumen and take an analytical approach to sales/business development of technical product solutions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Defining and maintaining Service and Solution Portfolio including related value propositions.

  • Implementing existing plans and developing new strategies to identify, analyse and capture new businesses appearing through market needs and sustainability legislations in the fashion industry.

  • Ensuring that current lead generation activities and tools (e.g. Marketing, PR campaigns, online analytics) are fully exploited and opportunities maximised.

  • Recognising and articulating appropriate approaches to address gaps and proposing improvements to close them.

  • Perform market/competitive analysis; develop programme plans including revenue, sales targets and ROI based approaches.

  • Enhancing and communicating opportunities in a way that meets customer needs and differentiates ZDHC from the competition and partners.

  • Collaborating with multiple teams in order to execute and orchestrate new business ideas and exceptional customer solutions.

  • Ensure company growth objectives and financial targets are achieved.

  • Build a strategy for ZDHC to become more sales-driven.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A master's degree in business, marketing or related field, or have developed sufficient industry experience.

  • Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in new business and/or product development coupled with a solid understanding of business processes.

  • A track record in selling solutions, generating new business and bringing new clients on board.

  • The ability to identify short & long term prospect needs and translate these into revenue opportunities.

  • Performance traits of initiative, a sense of urgency, follow-through skills, independent problem identification and solution pursuit.

  • Excellent communication skills and IT fluency with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire diverse partners and stakeholders to drive business results.

  • Self-driven, transparent, curious and highly motivated to reach your goals.

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

  • Tenacious character and a genuine passion for proactively developing sustainability solutions

  • Be a dynamic leader able to influence ZDHC's customers and key internal stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with lean, design thinking and agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in corporate sustainability, environment or international development

  • Experience within the chemical textile industry
