Acre is partnering with Manufacture 2030 (M2030), a market-leading tech business, to appoint a Carbon Analyst. Its unique software platform and dedicated advisory services provide solutions for global companies to understand and reduce their carbon emissions and other environmental impacts in their supply chains at scale. Its clients included companies such as Honda, Toyota, Asda, Sainsbury, and Kingfisher.

As the business grows, they're looking for an experienced lifecycle assessment/product carbon footprinting professional to join their Carbon Team. This is a new team in the business, led by the Head of Carbon, and collaborating closely with its Data & Product development teams and engineers.

As Carbon Analyst, you will bring experience in conducting Lifecycle Assessments (LCAs) and/or Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs) and use this experience to help shape M2030's strategy for integrating product carbon footprinting data into its product offer.

You will be responsible for:

  • Using your LCA/ PCF expertise to contribute to the development and delivery of Carbon footprint and Product LCA services

  • Researching and prototyping ways to integrate and utilise LCA/PCF data within the M2030 platform

  • Researching the growing market of LCA/ PCF tools and emission factor databases and providing the business with clear recommendations for which to engage with

  • Using your subject matter expertise to make suggestions within the team around carbon accounting methodologies

  • Working with the rest of the product development team to use your analysis to inform product development

You will be able to leverage the following skills in the role:

  • Experience conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and/or Product Carbon Footprints (PCF) calculations

  • General awareness and practical understanding of PCF/LCA methodologies across the board, including the challenges of widespread uptake of these within target industries

  • Practical experience with carbon reporting methodologies, such as GHG Protocol, SBTi industry pathways, ISO 14067/IS14040 or WBCSD's Partnership for Carbon Transparency (PACT)

  • Industry experience within the automotive, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food & drink, retail or FMCG sectors would be welcomed but this is not a requirement

This role will offer flexible working, with Manufacture 2030's head office based in Oxford.

Effective data collection and reporting is key to making advancements in decarbonisation.
