Carbon Specialist

Acre is working with FTSE100 manufacturing business Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc to identify a sustainability practitioner to join them in a newly created Carbon Specialist role. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to support the organisation’s journey to net zero through developing sustainable supply chains and driving product innovation.

Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc is already well on the way in delivering its One Planet Net Zero strategy across the global business. You’ll be able to take this forward, working closely with the Group sustainability team and key operational partners.

You will:

• Enable clear messaging around technical sustainability topics such as scope 1,2 and 3 emissions and greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting, through strong communications and stakeholder engagement.

• Help to evolve the existing Net Zero program, aligning commitments and targets under the global ‘Science Based Targets Initiative’ (SBTi).

• Prepare proposals and implement emissions reductions solutions with key internal & external stakeholders.

• Create low carbon business solutions with value chain partners supporting the One Planet strategy.

As the Carbon Specialist, you will be instrumental in educating the wider business around the Carbon and Net Zero strategies.

You will use your knowledge and understanding of sustainability to support the business in building a more sustainable future. In order to excel in the role, you will bring:

​

• The ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels ensuring data submissions are timely, accurate and well communicated to users.

• Capability to translate complex information and data into engaging and clear communications.

• Understanding of GHG emissions and Scope 1, 2 and 3.

• Knowledge of 3rd party reporting systems such as CDP, GRI and TCFD
