In acknowledgment of CDPs significant organisational growth and reach, with 400+ employees globally, CDP are set to launch a new 2025 strategy to enhance the impact the organisation has on tackling the climate and environmental emergency.

CDP is partnering with Acre to hire a Chief Impact Officer. This newly created role reports to the CEO and will lead on CDP's global strategy. The role is preferably based in London but could also be based out of CDP's other global offices.

As a member of CDP's Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Impact Officer will hold accountability for defining the organisation's strategy and developing CDP's impact framework to measure progress towards achieving CDP's mission. They will also have a key leadership role in championing the organisation's mission, values and strategy, while contributing to global strategic oversight and decision-making.

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Build a cross-organisational focus on CDP's mission, partnering with key internal stakeholders to align strategies with CDP's broader impact and mission

  • Oversee the development and execution of CDP's ecosystem partnerships strategy, ensuring CDP engages with partners as an ecosystem player consistently across the organisation to drive impact and income

  • Champion CDP's mission in the public domain through the representation of the organisation at events, in media and conferences

  • Provide strategic oversight for CDP's fundraising strategy, plan and processes, helping grow CDP's development capacity to support strategic goals

  • Grow CDP's global impact through effective and targeted strategic communications and campaigns that align with the organisation's mission and funder deliverables

As a leader at Executive level in sustainability you'll have a track record in and ability to translate a highly ambitious vision into a meaningful strategy that is represented and delivered through an entire organisation.

You will also have:

  • A robust background in environmental sustainability, or issues aligned with CDP's areas of impact

  • Leadership experience in an organisation of similar size and nature to CDP

  • A visible external profile, having operated and engaged with similar stakeholders and represented your organisations in external fora

  • Decisive and results focused nature, whilst able to bring internal and external stakeholders on a journey fostering trust and diverse participation

  • Experience in managing and harnessing the potential of marketing and communications functions

  • Background in overseeing and providing strategic oversight to development/fundraising departments
