Acre is pleased to be working in partnership with a high performing and fast-growing, intelligent sustainability software platform, that helps business to improve their impact on the planet, manage ESG risk, and save money.

Our client is looking to identify a seasoned COO to join their board of directors and senior leadership team. Working closely with the CEO & CFO in this newly created position, the successful candidate will devise an appropriate operational structure for future growth and be responsible for the day to day running of the commercial functions of the business. This includes sales and marketing, customer success, partnerships and consulting resources.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

To lead the current growth plan of more than doubling the team size from c20 FTE to >50 over the next 12 months alongside tripling of revenues, you will play a critical role in the delivery of this strategy.

  • Support the business with M&A activities.

  • Identity and open offices in at least 3 different new countries.

  • Drive a growth strategy focused on talent acquisition, partnerships and M&A whilst ensuring the business gains maximum impact during early market growth.

  • To support on investor presentations/interactions alongside the CEO and Chair.

Our client is looking for an experienced proven senior operational leader who has previous experience of scaling businesses. You will likely have a passion about the subject matter (ESG, Sustainability or AI) and will ideally come from a tech company although other transferable skills and industries will be considered.

Background, skills and experience

  • Previous COO or c-suite level experience.

  • Experience and strengths in organising and motivating teams across the core commercial functions of the business i.e., sales and marketing, customer success, partnerships.

  • A deep understanding of tech & AI would be desirable

  • An outgoing, flexible approach to business and problem solving

  • Proven experience of scaling a business
