Driving an ambitious 1.5C climate commitment at one of the world's most iconic luxury brands is no easy task. That's why a newly created opportunity has arisen in the company's corporate sustainability team based in London, providing expertise and support in the evolution of the company's climate and biodiversity strategy and programs.

Have you supported with driving large scale climate reduction activities, monitoring and stakeholder engagement with corporates previously, and are curious about other opportunities that have scope for significant impact as well as offering growth and development across broader corporate sustainability?

Reporting to the Head of Climate and Biodiversity you will have the opportunity to support internal teams to deliver projects that reduce carbon and biodiversity impacts, support with their project compensation portfolio and as well as representing the company externally in relevant forums.

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including business functions, geographic regions, and the Corporate Sustainability Team, to track progress towards the company's 1.5 ambitions.

  • Manage the day-to-day work of the project compensation portfolio, including the tracking and analysis of key performance indicators, budget and reporting from project partners.

  • Align with teams responsible for data and content in the identification of gaps and opportunities to improve and support the annual external reporting campaign.

  • Prepare briefs on latest science and regulatory updates concerning climate and biodiversity for internal teams such as GHG Protocol on Carbon Removals and the Net Zero SBTi Standard.

  • Align with the Advocacy team in the evaluation and response to legislative proposals and upcoming requirements that may affect the group's climate and biodiversity targets.

You will leverage the following:

  • Proven working knowledge on carbon metrics, direct and indirect scope reductions, and climate taxonomy (Net Zero, abatement, neutralisation, compensation, Science Based Targets) which may have been acquired through in-house experience.

  • Familiarity with the current work of international organisations on nature and biodiversity including basic understanding of concepts such as natural capital, risk assessment and double materiality.

  • Strong attention to detail combined with analytical/critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and ability to interact and influence stakeholders.
