Acre is working with a highly disruptive, systems-changing climate change advisory firm to help them hire a Climate Risk Director for their growing London team. They are a highly diverse team of specialists with experience across industries and functions working on large scale high-impact projects, united by their mission to accelerate the world's transition to Net Zero. They have witnessed tremendous growth in the past year and are now looking to hire a Climate Risk Director to support their growing business. Reporting into the Partner, this person will be responsible for developing the firm's climate risk analytics offering and managing client engagements.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the delivery of climate risk advisory projects, assisting clients to identify their needs, and designing problem-solving approaches capable of resolving their most challenging issues

  • Designing, owning and delivering polished results, including designing and undertaking analysis, and producing pitches, decks, reports, models and research material

  • Developing problem solving strategies for clients or sector groups, including developing the firm's IP and thought leadership

  • Managing and mentoring the team, including on individual projects and across their careers at the firm

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Expertise in climate risk analytics and strategy or a closely-related field, with specific experience in conducting transition and physical risk analysis in line with TCFD guidance

  • Experience in the advisory context, either via market advisory or private advisory work, including supporting clients to undertake targeted problem solving and implement specific project outcomes or findings.

  • Ability to work with comfortably and confidently senior clients in a commercial context

  • Ability to manage change in an organisation, including by seeking and generating buy-in, building culture and supporting stakeholders to engage with the program of work at hand.

  • Experience in strategy, finance, economics, or a closely-related field, along with significant subject matter expertise in climate change or sustainability-related fields, such as sustainability strategy, energy, carbon markets etc

  • Highly collaborative working style, with comfort working in working environments defined by shared ownership of projects and flat decision-making structures.
