Attention all Communications Managers! Are you ready to take on a challenge and drive forward the net zero agenda? The Executive Secretariat for the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) is seeking a Communications Manager to join their team.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment and contribute to meaningful environmental and social outcomes. You will work closely with their Communications Director, board and expert panel members, as well as their external communications agencies, private sector partners, and funders, to deliver and manage their strategic communications and engagement strategy.

As the Communications Manager, you will be responsible for the successful flow of strategic messaging through all of ICVCM's comms and marketing channels. You will bring innovative and creative ideas to educate and inform their stakeholders, build alignment around their program, and strengthen their brand and reputation.

To be successful in this role, you must be an excellent project manager with experience working across multiple projects and stakeholder groups. You must also have experience in strategic and corporate communications, be proactive and detail-driven, and have an excellent understanding of media, finance, and the political landscape.

Key duties include supporting the development and delivery of creative and strategic communications strategies, coordinating day-to-day communications activity, managing ICVCM's communications agency, and producing high-quality, well-written communications content.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in media relations, digital communications, and marketing, as well as experience working in the climate change and/or sustainability space. Desirable experience includes working in the financial or professional services industry, understanding of carbon markets, and previous experience working in small-business/start-up environments.

This is a fast-paced and exciting role that requires a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, creative flair, and a strong understanding of social media best practice. Working knowledge of Spanish, French or Portuguese is an advantage.
