As Virgin Money's ESG leader, you'll be working in a non-hierarchical working environment with a diverse mix of colleagues from all over the UK. With a refreshed ESG strategy, Virgin Money's Board and Executive Leadership team will support you in driving the cultural shift to a more sustainably focused business. Virgin Money has strong internal capabilities focusing on societal programmes, the team will be looking to you to evolve these activities, while leading the development of Virgin Money's environmental and climate-related programmes.
What you will bring to the table…
You're a sustainability leader and ESG subject matter expert, having worked with c-suite stakeholders. You are the go-to person for emerging trends, specifically around the sustainability challenges facing the Financial Services industry. Having come from the world of financial services, you will be up to speed with the requirements of a Tier I bank. Being familiar with the disclosure requirements and understanding the needs of a wide range of stakeholders, from investors to regulators and customer to consumers is a must. Setting the direction, priorities and embedding an overarching ESG framework is your sweet spot.
To be a superstar, you will need to influence, drive change through others and balance the need for a rigorous, disciplined and programmatic approach in order to win hearts and minds, and lead a cultural shift within both the Sustainability team and the wider Group.
