Acre is partnering with Kingfisher Foods to hire a CSR Manager to lead its responsible sourcing strategy.
Kingfisher Foods is a leading, award-winning, independently-owned food business specializing in ambient products. With an international supply base in over 16 countries, Kingfisher supplies all major UK retailers with both Own Label and Branded ambient goods, along with food service customers.
What will you be doing in this role?
Reporting to the Technical Director, you will ensure that all products sourced, canned, shipped, and distributed are sustainable and ethical. You will also maintain a credible and measurable Sustainability and Ethical Policy.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Updating Kingfisher Foods' sustainability and ethical trade policies regularly and ensuring that all suppliers meet these standards.
Overseeing sustainable and ethical practices throughout the supply chain, including vessel auditing, and working with fishermen, vessel owners, and suppliers to implement best practices.
Building and maintaining relationships with key partners such as the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation, Global Tuna Alliance, and Seafood Ethics Action Alliance.
Liaising with customers and promptly responding to their various sustainability-related requests.
Developing and maintaining an audit process to explore ethical and sustainable standards, regulations, and schemes.
Visiting factories and fisheries to assess ethical and sustainable practices.
Attending events and conferences to stay informed about industry ethical and sustainability commitments and developments.
Understanding customers' ethical and sustainable policies and communicating Kingfisher Foods' commitment through external and internal presentations.
Creating and maintaining databases of key information related to seafood sales and orders.

Experience leading and implementing sustainability strategies in an international corporate environment.
Subject matter expertise in sustainability standards, certifications, and regulations (e.g., GRI, BCorp, SBTI, CSRD).
A proven track record of fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of sustainability and ethical responsibility.
A keen interest in the food sector and its value chain, with a passion for driving sustainability transformation.
Based in or willing to commute to Reigate.
