As Decarbonization Analytics Manager, you will be a key contributor to the continued development and implementation of APMTs decarbonization strategy. You will work with a cross-functional team to drive a coherent and holistic approach to decarbonization in order to meet the company's targets while closely collaborating with our container terminals and other Maersk business units.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in the Hague, Netherlands and reporting to the APMT Head of Decarbonization.


Key responsibilities

Analysis and thought leadership:

  • Own APMT decarbonization model, refine analyses and narratives in close collaboration with workstream leads and key stakeholders from functions and terminals

  • Develop high-quality quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Synthesize analyses to inform discussions with stakeholders

  • Articulate data based and analytically robust narratives

  • Produce high quality reports, workshop materials, memos, and other materials

  • Proactively keep abreast of industry and local regulation developments, assess implications and recommend necessary actions

  • Internal/external engagement:

  • Prepare and drive discussions with other workstream leads, boarder APMT and Maersk functions to establish alignment and common understanding vis-à-vis decarbonization data & analysis

  • Orchestrate stakeholder interaction, wider industry event participation and workshop design

Project management:

  • Support the Head of Decarbonization at APMT in ensuring day-to-day management of workstreams and competing priorities vis-à-vis data & analysis

  • Ensure regular progress reporting.

We are looking for:

  • Appetite for managing a mix of project management, analytical and outreach activities on a day-to-day basis

  • Experience of working with decarbonization and climate policy & regulation topics

  • Expertise in supply chain, marine or terminals sector - or appetite and ability to go through a steep learning curve over a short period of time

  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to deliver high-quality quantitative and qualitative analytics on a range of different topics

  • Excellent communicator in English both in writing and in speaking

  • Ability to take ownership, work independently in a structured manner and achieve concrete results. Ability to prioritize and manage tasks to meet demanding business needs

  • Ability to handle risks and uncertainties. Flexibility in adapting when priorities change. Comfort with challenging the status quo and motivation to lead change

  • Experience in operational environments or a consultancy background within operationally driven businesses will be considered an advantage

  • Degree in economy, engineering, optimization, physics or equivalent quantitative study
