Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications & Marketing, WWF International, this role has overall accountability for leading on and delivering across the following:

  • Provides creative and inspiring leadership to communications staff across the Network and in the Content & Engagement team

  • Develops and directs the strategic long-term content strategy and its goals, policies and procedures for the curation of content and audience engagement on WWF social platforms, website and other communication products and platforms, including content and channel optimisation, brand consistency, segmentation and localisation, analytics and meaningful measurement

  • Drives the vision for engaging with external audiences to grow the influence of our brand and increase cross-sector awareness of our work

  • Develops and directs content partnerships that leverage WWF work and brings this to a bigger audience

  • Directs and develops methodologies to analyse content consumption data and to define content needs

  • Develop standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies

  • Leads development of new content initiatives, products and platforms in all forms to grow audiences and reach new ones

  • Ensure the success of WWF's global conservation goals and programs (including Earth Hour) by leading development of the content communications strategy for the organisation's work, profile and values, in line with network protocols
