Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications & Marketing, WWF International, this role has overall accountability for leading on and delivering across the following:
Leads, mentors and inspires a virtual communication team
Develops a communications framework and external audience focused plan for the WWF global network, in conjunction with the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing, Unit Heads, Practice communicators and the 'community of communicators'
Works with the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing to maintain and improve WWF's reputation
Works with the Practice communicators to establish the conservation priorities and channels the efforts of the team to fulfil the outcomes of the conservation agenda through an agreed annual operating plan
Creates support and demand among relevant audiences via appropriate campaigns executed together with other units (especially Content & Engagement, Media and Global Campaigns) and in the network
Leads crisis and issues management across the Network, including capacity building and skill sharing
Proposes, designs and implements appropriate standards and protocols to support best-practice communications across the Network
Develops and monitors key reputation impact metrics
Working with the Practice communicators to ensure robust communications strategies for international events, summits and conferences at which WWF is present are in place. Media and Content & Engagement teams key to leading, facilitation and implementation
