Acre is proud to be working with an exciting software and services start-up that provides ESG solutions to the financial services industry, including banks, insurance, and private markets. They provide both ESG consulting and a software-based solution to private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
We are looking for a Director of Business Development to report to the CEO and build and lead the emerging private markets practice. The ideal candidate will be well versed in digital solutions for private markets and have depth of knowledge in the ESG/sustainability field.
In this role you will be expected to:
Leverage the private markets network of leadership and track record to build brand awareness and lead new business development
Make a significant contribution to achieving sales targets by leading business development activities
Shape and leads new business development efforts, including managing conferences,
social media and direct marketing
Market ESG reporting and interactive services to private equity firms and their portfolio companies
To be successful in this role you will need the following skills and experiences:
5+ years of previous experience in sales and/or marketing to the private equity industry
Sustainability/ESG experience as a sustainability/ESG leader or practitioner; private equity professional focused on sustainability/ESG; or consultant with a track record in sustainability/ESG solutions for the private markets is a plus
Demonstrated track record of sales execution in an entrepreneurial environment
Strong sales skills, excellent writing and presentation skills, and a mastery of PowerPoint
Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a flat organization
Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work on virtual teams
Passionate about sustainability and ESG
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Authorization to work in the U.S.
This is a hybrid position, with the option to work remotely and/or from offices in
Greenwich, CT and/or New York, NY.
This position offers a competitive base salary between $125,000 and $175,000 plus participation in an annual bonus and equity-based compensation plan. Additionally, the comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, a company-matched 401(k), and unlimited paid time off.
