Acre is delighted to be leading the search for a newly created role for a well established trade body in the mining and manufacturing value chain.

The Director of Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability will drive the development of the organisation's sustainability strategy offering value and support to a network of global members.

The Role:

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering the organisation's responsible sourcing and sustainability strategy in line with industry ambition and needs of the members

  • Building and managing external relationships with key stakeholders including the identification of strategic partnerships as well as managing internal working groups

  • Acting as a credible voice for the industry, driving innovation and research which will contribute to more robust and sustainable value chains

Your Profile:

You will have demonstrable experience in the following areas:

  • A knowledge of responsible sourcing and/or sustainability landscape, policy-making, and stakeholder engagement processes and a proven ability to navigate and influence such systems

  • Experience in leading responsible sourcing programs; mineral supply chains

  • A capacity to identify issues and to deal with them proactively and effectively in order to find consensus, achieve meaningful goals and make positive progress

  • Excellent analytical skills, first-class attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills
