Acre is pleased to be supporting one of the largest privately-owned international property companies in the world to identify their new Director of Social Impact. Reporting to the Executive Director of Sustainability and Innovation, you will work across a high value property portfolio to own, develop, and deliver their social impact strategy which creates significant social outcomes for all.

This is a senior role and will form a pivotal part of the Sustainability & Innovation team alongside environmental sustainability and will also work with and influence the wider business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking the lead responsibility for centrally run projects, such as the application of their community wellbeing framework, ensuring it provides data and insight that can inform investment decisions and demonstrates social impact.

  • Influence the business to ensure cross-business implementation of the strategy and support all teams to deliver it.

  • Provide expert guidance and input to social sustainability initiatives, such as the social value metrics in their Supply Chain Charter, ensuring they maximise impact through the procurement of goods and services.

  • Represent the business externally when appropriate and contribute to their advocacy and thought leadership.

  • Support the Community Investment Committee and the implementation of the Community Investment programme.

  • Manage the ongoing delivery of metrics and reporting, providing expert advice to the business on measuring their social impact in a wide range of settings.

Key Requirements:

  • Genuinely passionate, courageous, and open-minded, with a desire to drive, influence and make a significant social impact in the built environment.

  • The ability to lead, manage and monitor delivery of a business-wide strategy and corporate initiatives.

  • Proven expertise and experience in measuring social impact in the context of real estate or regeneration.

  • Extensive knowledge of social sustainability and its application in a business setting, as well as integrated reporting

  • Innovative and full of energy with a track record of influencing senior management and Executive Leadership Teams.

  • Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence colleagues and engage with stakeholders working in a wide range of different teams and disciplines.
