Acre is working with a leading global bank to help them hire a Director of Sustainable Finance Taxonomies and Governance. Reporting to the Head of Sustainable Finance, you will lead the management of sustainable finance governance, frameworks and compliance with various regulatory guidelines. This role can be based out of any of their global hub offices in London, Singapore or Dubai.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing governance systems and compliance for the sustainable finance business

  • Advising the bank's green and sustainable product frameworks to improve the product offering while ensuring compliance with various regulations

  • Keep abreast of developments in sustainable finance regional taxonomies, SFDR, industry green bond and SLB frameworks

  • Ensuring the products are aligned with the ESG risk and ops risk frameworks of the bank

  • Assessing and improving the effectiveness of the team to deliver effective governance and controls

  • Working collaboratively with the sustainable finance business, product, risk and strategy teams

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Good knowledge of product governance and processes in banking

  • Good knowledge of ESG themes and sustainable finance frameworks

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders
