Dedicated to creating a more sustainable future, a consultancy within the utility sector, with a focus on addressing key challenges and developing long-term sustainable partnerships, is looking for an Energy specialist to guide their clients by using measurable targets and understanding their consumption and implementing processes to make them more efficient.

This is an interim contract and can be completed remotely but with the willingness to be able to commit to occasional travel such as client sites) paying between £450 - £600 a day (Can also be part-time).

Responsibilities:

  • Using the company's framework, providing ESG technical knowledge to assess the level of sustainability maturity

  • Providing benchmark driven & gap analysis to recommend businesses about processes and measurable outcomes

  • Effectively advising and reporting carbon and energy trends in relation to data presented

  • Monitoring client's data in relation to energy, carbon, and water (utilities)

  • Recognising energy usage and creating efficiency

  • Managing different streams of data to inform on inventories

  • Analysing trends and reporting usage of energy across sites

Person specification:

  • Industry experience in utilities or built environment

  • Working knowledge of Energy Consumption Reporting - ESOS (Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme)

  • Reporting on ESG disclosures (methodology, data and performance)

  • Sustainability and net zero strategy development

  • Decarbonisation design, development/delivery (including Energy Performance Certificates - EPCs)

  • Sustainability behavioural change - customers, communities and employees
