Engagement - Associate Director

This is a key position for one of the world's leading investment management groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the investment teams company engagement strategy for Europe.

We are looking for an experienced sustainability professional with strong knowledge on ESG issues and how they can be managed from an investor's perspective.

​

Key Responsibilities:

​

• Lead the development and delivery of engagement strategy across allocated countries or regions as well as globally across a number of relevant environmental, social and governance themes

​

• Lead corporate engagement through the development of a regular dialogue and meetings at Board and Executive Committee level at allocated companies

​

• Developing and maintaining a considerable internal and external profile, being responsible for representing the business at conferences and events as well as helping to build best practices in stewardship across the firm

​

​

Experience sought:

​

• Strong knowledge on ESG issues and how they can be managed within a stewardship context

​

• Familiarity with European culture(s) and an ability to understand and relate to cultural norms and build relationships with key contacts in different European markets

​

• Business level competency in relevant languages (French, German, Italian), would be valued, but is not necessarily essential

​

The job holder will focus a significant proportion of time on stewardship activities in Europe, covering markets such as France, BENELUX, Germany and Scandinavia hence the capacity to travel regularly to these areas from London is required.
