Environment and Sustainability Business Partner (Supply Chain) - Home Based

Stonewater is a leading social housing provider, with a mission to deliver good quality, affordable homes to people who need them most. Managing around 34,500 homes and with a target of 1,500 new homes each year, the communities they serve spread across England.

Reporting into the Assistant Environment and Sustainability Director, this position will join a team of Environment and Sustainability Business Partners, each with their own specialism to deliver the ESG strategy. Stonewater are searching for Supply Chain Business Partner as they strive transition to a more circular economy, working collaboratively within the team and across the business to achieve Stonewater's decarbonisation and fuel poverty ambitions.

As Environment and Sustainability Business Partner (Supply Chain), you will:

  • Support the delivery of Stonewater's Environmental & Fuel Engagement Strategies to ensure targets are met.

  • To assist in the management of Stonewater's Environmental Management Systems and accreditations, ensuring continuous improvement.

  • Support Stonewater to transition to a more circular economy.

  • Engage upstream within the supply chain to enhance reporting of Scope 3 emissions.

  • Undertake whole lifecycle carbon assessments of materials to inform specifications.

  • Contribute to Stonewater's thought leadership through research and trialling new approaches.

  • Keep up to date with relevant regulations, policies and trends in the industry that may impact on energy and sustainability in housing.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Experience within an Energy/Sustainability role preferably within supply chain, construction or a related sector.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and regulation

  • Knowledge of the Green House Gas Protocol and measuring and reporting emissions.

  • Knowledge of the environmental impact of building and construction.

  • Excellent communication skills and experience of engaging supply chains.

  • Excellent IT skills, including experience of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, the Internet
