Are you an experienced Environmental Compliance or Sustainability Reporting professional looking for a fresh challenge within an organisation strongly committed to sustainability?

Acre is collaborating with a high impact, global retailer on a collection of newly created environmental roles, scaling their 120 strong ethical trade and environmental sustainability function.

This new role plays a crucial and integral part in the wider sustainability purpose of the company. They have the drive to raise the standards of sustainability compliance (both internally and externally), and you will be one of the key accelerators of this. Reporting and engagement are also a core function of this role, as they maintain high standards which they are always seeking to improve and diversify.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the brands environmental compliance scheme

  • Ensure all policies and processes being used to govern the compliance are in accordance with the brand's broader environmental strategy

  • Being responsible for keeping all policies up to date and that data collection and performance management are integral to the Environment team

  • Create monthly performance reports and be ready to share insights with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Manage the Environmental Assistant who has broad accountabilities for environmental team support

  • Being the 'go-to' point of contact for all internal teams on compliance and environmental sustainability reporting

You will have:

  • Qualification in Sustainability or Environmental Science (or relevant area) to Degree level

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of using data to drive decisions

  • Awareness of sustainability and compliance platforms (e.g.Higg Co.)

  • Industry knowledge- focused on supply chain

  • Project management skills

  • Confidence in your communication, organisation, administration and IT skills

  • Awareness of Industry Initiatives relevant to Sustainability

  • A solutions focused approach

  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment

  • Occasional travel to be expected
