We are working with a leading European asset manager in their search for an analyst to support a team of experienced portfolio managers who are running global long-only and long-short sustainable equity strategies.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform all elements of sector and company analysis and idea generation. Specific responsibilities include:

    • Company and industry research for the related sectors on a global basis.

    • Staying abreast of related technology, regulatory and governmental policy changes.

  • Perform ongoing analysis and monitoring of active portfolio investments. Share recommended changes with the team to active portfolio investment positions and weights when warranted by fundamental business positioning, execution and valuation factors.

  • Be an active participant in meetings with management teams of current and potential investments and other value chain stakeholders of current and potential investments.

  • Develop specific market knowledge in sustainable sectors, including key technologies.

  • Write investment cases, market commentary and other content as required.

Requirements for this position:

  • Minimum of five years of research experience. Specific research experience in coverage of utility, energy or alternative energy areas is preferred.

  • Complex, in-depth modelling skills are required.

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial market dynamics and performance drivers.

  • Demonstrated experience in shorting stocks as well as long-duration investing.

  • Investment experience across different geographies, including one or more of North America, Europe and Asia.

  • Experience in the construction, maintenance and interpretation of financial models is required.

  • Postgraduate work in Economics or Finance or CFA qualification.
