BioMed Realty is looking to hire an ESG Associate to join their rapidly growing team and ESG platform. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in sustainability and a desire to achieve ESG goals for BioMed. The ESG Associate will support BioMed's ESG reporting efforts and will be responsible for the collection and analysis of real estate ESG data across all BioMed assets. The ESG Associate is expected to develop a deep understanding of the material ESG reporting frameworks and requirements.
The role will include cross-functional involvement with many aspects of BioMed's platform and external parties, providing expansive opportunities for professional growth. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Help execute ESG strategies and initiatives across the organization
Gather, consolidate and analyze data that tracks the progress and performance of ESG metrics across operational assets and development globally across various departments
Liaise with consultants and work closely with property management teams to ensure the quality and consistency of data
Develop a strong working knowledge of available ESG data sources, including expertise in the utilization and interpretation of ESG-related data
Perform additional ad-hoc analysis and peer benchmarking and engage in special projects as needed
Job Specifications:
BioMed seeks to hire entrepreneurial individuals who are highly motivated, mature and intelligent, with demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have:
Minimum two years of experience working in corporate strategy, business, consulting, finance, accounting, and/or corporate sustainability experience in real estate or another relevant field
Bachelor's degree (required)
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Deep interest in sustainability and the real estate industry
Self-motivated to develop an understanding of ESG frameworks, data platforms, sustainability reporting and disclosures
Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Excessive attention to detail, outstanding initiative and an eagerness to learn with a strong work ethic
Self-starter with the ability to drive project execution, and the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work with limited direct guidance

Salary Range:
$65,000.00 to $80,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
