Our client is a leading independent European private markets infrastructure fund manager. Since their formation, responsible business has been at their core, with a focus on the sustainable infrastructure of the future. As a leading ESG performer, they have been awarded three GRESB sector leader awards in 2020, the BVCA responsible investing award in 2019 and an A+ rated from PRI in 2020 for both their strategy and governance and infrastructure modules.

Due to organic growth they are now looking for an experienced ESG and sustainability professional to join the ESG team, based in Amsterdam.

In this role you will:

  • Manage ESG activities across investment lifecycle from origination, through to asset management and Investor Relations

  • Work with ESG Committee members to leverage their experience / shared input to ESG activities

  • Co-ordinate and prepare PRI, GRESB, UK Stewardship Code (+Dutch authority equivalent) submissions

  • Review responses to investor ESG due diligence questionnaires, Investor Q&A and be the company's face of ESG with investors

  • Coordinate preparation of investor/stakeholder ESG reporting - quarterly, annual, sustainability report, TCFD reporting

  • Lead integration of new regulation, standards, principles into company policy/approach and participate in industry working groups (GRESB, PRI, GIIA)

You will be working within an international and dynamic environment offering an excellent opportunity to develop sustainability and ESG management skills in a private equity context.

To be successful you will have:

  • University qualified in either sustainability or finance-based courses

  • Existing sustainability experience either in managing ESG in a corporate or pension fund; implementing ESG improvements in investee companies; private equity/infrastructure fund manager level ESG management and reporting; or investor ESG interaction

  • Experience of PRI / GRESB and other ESG related reporting

  • Fluent in English with additional languages as an advantage

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex issues with excellent attention to detail
