Acre is working with a large investment fund, in the search for an ESG Manager to be based in The Netherlands. In this newly created role, you will lead the fund's ESG and impact investment strategy process, and ensure the implementation of the appropriate policies and procedures. Furthermore, you will organize, prepare, and participate in meetings on ESG & impact with Limited Partners, service providers, and other stakeholders.


Your responsibilities:

  • Research on key ESG industry issues including developments in ESG regulation and investor ESG priorities

  • Gathering Sustainability data, consolidating and managing all the insights in respect of impact and ESG

  • Following developments in ESG reporting (e.g., emissions methodologies) and ensuring the optimization of the internal reporting process

  • Supporting the deal team in respect of ESG analysis on potential investment targets

  • Preparing training materials and educational presentations for the Fund members

You'll need to work across a team with varying levels of maturity so a resilient and creative approach will serve you well. To ensure you thrive in your new role, you'll also bring:

  • 5 years of experience in ESG and Impact gained either in consulting or in an in-house ESG/Impact position, within a private markets investor, large corporate or investment bank

  • Technical experience and/or an appreciation of conducting ESG reviews, due diligence assessments, monitoring and reporting

  • Strong analytical skills including use of Excel, plus monitoring, reporting, communication and presentation skills

  • Experience in deal structuring and deal execution at an investment fund or in a corporate setting

  • Good understanding of the investment process and the relevant deal milestones

  • Full proficiency in communicating in English in a business context (verbally & in writing)
