Executive Director - Climate Risk

Acre is working with a highly disruptive, systems changing climate change advisory firm to help them hire an Executive Director for their growing London team. They are a highly diverse team of specialists with experience across industries and functions, united by their mission to accelerate the world's transition to Net Zero. They have witnessed tremendous growth in the past year and are now looking to further build their team to specifically focus on the high potential Fortune 500 clients and top tier financial services firms. Reporting into the Partner, this person will lead client engagements while also designing and managing the delivery of projects.

You will be responsible for:

• Business development including the development and management of a pipeline of projects, from initial client contact and engagement through project design and delivery

• Designing and managing the delivery of multiple advisory projects

• Helping clients manage the internal engagement, including gaining buy-in and managing implementation

• Team development and management, attracting the best of talent within this space and mentoring them across their careers at the firm

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• 10+ years of experience in advisory in the areas of climate strategy, climate risk, sustainability, green finance or general strategy

• Strong existing network in the private sector and Fortune 500 companies at the C-Suite and senior leadership level

• Ability to manage delivery and pipeline of multiple projects, with strong collaboration and teamwork skills

• Ability to author and produce polished and highly commercial communications, including pitches and industry reports, and represent the firm in major events and industry forums to establish thought leadership
