Job Overview

This is an exciting time to join the Global Social Impact team at Dentsu international. You will help mobil­ise people across the key 2030 global Social Impact strategy areas of focus:

  • Sustainable World: help people make better, more sustainable choices

  • Fair and Open Society: promote equality and create opportunities

  • Digital for Good: empower the next generation of digital citizens

The purpose of this role is to lead on the creation, development and delivery of Global Social Impact programmes and campaigns, including the flagship global programmes The Code, Female Foundry and Malaria No More. The objective is to inspire, engage and drive the delivery of Dentsu's strategic goals, both internally with Dentsu staff and in collaboration with our clients, NGOs, and the communities in which they operate. Core focus areas including gender equality, global health, education and skills. Supported by a diverse, matrix-managed team of subject matter experts and volunteer Social Impact 'champions', this role will unite and mobilise Dentsu's talent and resources in support of the 2030 strategy and priorities.

Being the subject matter and spokesperson, this role will represent Dentsu at key internal and external forums on issues relating to sustainability and social impact.

Role Responsibility

  • Leads in the design, development and the delivery of global programmes, tailoring to local market needs

  • Engages internal and external stakeholders (including clients and partners) around the implementation of the global programmes to secure resources, build engagement and advocacy

  • Measures the progress and performance of the strategy and global programmes across markets/Dentsu

  • Collaborates with the internal communications and corporate affairs teams to build brand reputation and employee engagement

  • Reinforces global delivery of the Social Impact strategy by liaising with, and activating, the global champions network

  • Supports the leadership evolution across Dentsu to embed social purpose in collaboration with the talent community and acts as an advisor to the business and global client teams on issues relating to sustainability and social impact

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in sustainability, corporate citizenship, social impact, CSR or related field.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and proven ability to write engaging, thought-provoking content

  • Proven ability to deliver creative campaigns that move people to action and experience mobilising employees in a large company

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience managing, inspiring and coaching a matrixed and multi-cultural virtual team

  • Demonstrable strong analytical and strategic thinking and campaign planning skills.

  • Strong partnership skills, understanding how to facilitate and broker global connections.

  • Exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills with experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests

  • Strong networks and experience of working with a wide range of corporates and NGOs to design and deliver social impact programmes and initiatives

  • Familiarity with project management and social impact frameworks and methodologies, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals

  • A 'can do' attitude, resourceful and driven to find solutions and present them, and happy to step up when others need help

  • Commitment to collaboration and teamwork

  • Management responsibility, one direct report

Logistics

Dentsu is operating a hybrid approach to flexible working, with a general expectation of working from the office 2-3 days a week at times when restrictions are lifted. The role is based out of the London office and reports to the Head of Social Impact, Jordan Junge.
