Are you motivated to leave the right social, environmental and economic legacy? Can you use your experience to help the construction sector meet both its climate and social value ambitions?

Willmott Dixon is one the UK's largest independent construction and property services companies. Sustainability and social value have been at the heart of the business over the last 170 years and with their new sector-leading sustainability strategy, 'Now or Never,' there is no better time to make an impact.

This is an exciting time for Willmott Dixon as they look to appoint a pioneering Sustainable Supply Chain Lead. Working in a Group-level capacity, you will play a key role in developing a strategy which will shape the organisation's approach to Scope 3 carbon emissions, embodied carbon and responsible sourcing of materials across all UK operations.

As Group Sustainable Supply Chain Lead, you will:

  • Create a roadmap and strategy, in line with 'Now or Never,' which focuses primarily on supply chain carbon emissions, embodied carbon and responsible sourcing of materials.

  • Collaborate with and empower cross-functional heads of department to take ownership of sustainability initiatives.

  • Use your initiative and professional network to horizon scan and identify key sustainability and ESG risks, opportunities and trends within Willmott Dixon's supply chain.

  • Work closely with individuals within both Willmott Dixon and its supply chain to develop their sustainability skills, knowledge and capability.

  • Use your leadership skills to influence, engage and effect change at all levels throughout the organisation and its supply chain.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Significant experience in supply chain management, Scope 3 carbon emissions and embodied carbon.

  • The necessary non-technical and leadership skills to deliver cultural and behavioural change programmes.

  • The ability to inspire, excite and challenge, particularly when engaging with board and executive-level stakeholders.

  • The ability to manage competing priorities with both efficiency and autonomy.

  • Solid experience analysing, evaluating and reporting data at a Group level.

  • Experience of ethical and responsible procurement or tackling modern slavery will be viewed favourably, although is not a requirement.

In return for your skills and experience, you will be met with a salary of up to £90,000, a motoring expenditure allowance and a discretionary bonus. You'll also have some peace of mind - despite recent events, Willmott Dixon has never been busier and is pushing ahead with its growth and hiring plans.
