Our client is a Private Equity backed sustainability consulting group that is a leading figure in driving the built environment to a more sustainable, post-carbon future.

Their vertically integrated data optimization, sustainability consulting and energy management services provide strategies and actionable solutions at an asset and portfolio level to key clients.

Through their tenure in the space, they have distinguished themselves in this typically fragmented industry, by providing a sophisticated and integrated consultative model to clients, which has enabled them capture and partner with some of the industry's largest asset manages, REITs and Private Equity firms, including the likes of Nuveen, Tishman Speyer & UBS.

Poised for substantial organic and inorganic global growth through the next few years, Acre is partnering with this group to identify a strong sales and business development leader.

Joining the organization at this point of inflection, as the Head of Business Development, is a unique opportunity to help grow the client footprint, influence the strategy and mature the operations of a rapidly growing, well-positioned and well-financed, mission-aligned business.

The Head of Business Development will be responsible for:

  • Originating new partnerships with large asset managers, REIT's and Private Equity firms with substantial real estate holdings.

  • Engaging directly with C-level sustainability, operations and finance executives, to secure multi-million-dollar long term partnerships and manage client relationships.

  • Evolving the group's go-to-market strategy.

  • Contributing to global expansion and M&A efforts.

  • Building and maintaining effective sales processes, including planning, compensation, account management, and sales tracking.

  • Leveraging customer, market, and competitor activity to influence strategy, marketing and product development efforts.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional sales leader who is a passionate, dynamic, collaborative individual and highly driven to achieve excellence.

As such, a strong understanding of the ESG and sustainability landscape is key, as is a strong track record of delivering and managing long term business value within large, mature organizations with longer sales cycles, ideally in the real estate or investments space.

The position is remote in nature, although NYC-based talent will be prioritized. Unfortunately, at this point in time, sponsorship is unavailable.
