Acre is delighted to partner with IHG, the leading multinational hospitality company, to hire a Head of Corporate Responsibility EMEAA & Global Community Impact. This is a senior role and business-critical hire for IHG and reports into the Vice President Global Corporate Responsibility.

Based from their office in Denham and then Windsor from June 2022 (with flexibility) you will form part of the Corporate Responsibility Global Leadership team. You will be responsible for providing leadership across all aspects of the EMEAA CR Agenda and for coordinating efforts relating to their Journey to Tomorrow 2030 Strategy. You will also be responsible for providing strategic leadership across IHG's Global Community impact agenda with a goal to improve the lives of 30 million people in their communities around the world.

Responsibilities;

Work closely with the EMEAA Leadership and Global Community Impact teams to lead on translating their 10-year ambitions into appropriate plans and targets for the EMEAA region.

  • Collaborate with the EMEAA Leadership and their teams to integrate the full CR agenda into the overall EMEAA business strategy and implement across all hotels and corporate offices.

  • Develop a tailored regional implementation, delivery and education plan, and be the first point of contact, support and guidance for the EMEAA Leadership team, as required.

  • Translate all elements of the "Communities" pillar of their Journey to Tomorrow 2030 ambitions into appropriate plans and targets for each region, working in partnership with the relevant CR and HR regional / global team leads, and supporting with execution.

  • Responsible for developing IHG's long-term NGO partnership strategy, defining the role they will play in delivering the various elements of IHG's 10-year community ambitions.

The successful candidate needs to have expertise and experience in developing and implementing a large, complex CR strategy. You will need to have worked for a global brand-led business and be effective at building relationships as well as, engaging and influencing senior stakeholders within a complex matrix organisation.

Experience required:

Bachelors or master's degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work- related experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, key trends and best practice within hospitality or associated industries.

  • An exceptional network with NGO partners in the region and experience of Chinese charities law, governance and fundraising.

  • A track record of developing business cases for sustainability strategies.
