Head of Energy - Retail

Acre is exclusively partnered with Kingfisher Plc to secure an experienced Energy Manager on a 6 month interim contract. Kingfisher plc is an international home improvement company with approximately 1,380 stores, supported by a team of 80,000 colleagues.

They operate in eight countries across Europe under retail banners including B&Q, Castorama, Brico Dépôt, Screwfix, TradePoint and Koçtaş. They offer home improvement products and services to consumers and trade professionals who shop in their stores and via e-commerce channels.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within this business as they embark on their Journey moving to Renewable energy across the group. This role will report directly into the Chief Transformation and Development Officer and alongside the Senior leadership team. You will be responsible for filling a short term gap in the team due to leave.

Key Requirements:

​

• Proven experience working as an Energy Manager / Head of Energy for international organisations

• Familiar with Science based targets and testing

• At least 5+ years' experience working in global corporate companies

• Experience working within the Retail/ home improvement sector would be beneficial

• Experience working within a matrix environment

• Strong C-level stakeholder engagement ability

• Advisory / Solution orientated mindset

Location: HQ is in London, some remote working possible (sites across the UK)

Start date: ASAP/ end June 2021 ideally

Duration: 6 months
