Acre is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading commercial real estate services company who provide a full range of services to real estate occupiers, developers and investors to identify their new Head of ESG UK/EMEA. Purely focused within their Property Management team, this is a newly created Director-level position and will focus on leading the ongoing development and implementation of a market-leading ESG strategy for the UK and across EMEA.

This role provides the functional leadership to the local experts in property management teams across EMEA and encompasses ownership of the EMEA platform for delivery of ESG services to property management clients, including the identification and selection of external consultants and technology to underpin the ESG service offering. The role also requires representation of the business in regular industry panels and publication of opinion pieces in relevant media.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Expanding the service offerings to work with a wider range of stakeholders and sectors across the UK & EMEA

  • Representing the business at external networking events, functions, and support in the delivery of though leadership to the market

  • Generating new business and manage your own pipeline of senior client instructions

  • Supporting the development and delivery of new service offerings in line with the ever-changing ESG market

  • Building relationship with all stakeholders across the UK & EMEA to drive ESG engagement and new business

You will:

  • Be a leader who understands and values the full range of UK and EMEA sustainability market offerings, from strategic management consultancy to net zero carbon through to social value and ESG fund creation

  • Have demonstrable experience in a similar ESG leadership role with delivery and business development responsibilities related to investor clients

  • Have a higher education qualification in an environmental or engineering discipline or a good track record working in an environmental role and a deep understanding of sustainability issues relevant to real estate

  • Have experience of managing projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Have experience of managing small teams and encouraging a positive work environment to deliver high quality and client ready outputs

  • Be able to coach, mentor and challenge the existing sustainability team and support in their development and growth
