Head of Global Modelling & Portfolio Analysis

Attention energy experts! A leading energy company is seeking a Head of Global Modelling and Portfolio Analysis to play a pivotal role in shaping its renewable energy portfolio.

The ideal candidate is an expert in power market analysis, with a deep understanding of the UK, Europe, and US markets and the ability to forecast power prices and model low-carbon integrated energy assets and portfolios.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining commercial models for the company's integrated low-carbon portfolio and evaluating the impact of various parameters on portfolio performance. You will also play a key role in auctioning and bidding processes for licenses and offtake agreements, informing investments and divestments decisions and developing a monetization strategy to manage risks and optimize revenues.

The successful candidate will have a Master's Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and at least 15 years of commercial experience in integrated energy market analysis and modelling. A detailed understanding of power market legislation and regulation, renewable auctioning and bidding processes, and renewable offtake contracts is essential. Additionally, strong modelling skills using fundamental and stochastic techniques and experience with mathematical programming languages such as GAMS and Python are required.
