We are working with a $10bn alternative asset manager that has been a global leader in weather and climate resilience risk transfer for over 15 years. As part of a period of exciting growth, the firm is looking to hire a Head of Portfolio management for its Climate Solutions team.

Currently their climate solutions team work with companies and investors focused on scaling capacity in regenerative agriculture, climate resilience, renewable energy and natural capital solutions, globally. The Climate team will continue to leverage this broader platform to set the market standard for developing, structuring and transferring Climate Risk to a diversified capital base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the optimum portfolio construction working closely with the Heads of Investment Strategy and Transaction Structuring; this will include both traditional considerations and ESG/sustainability related factors.

  • Identify and communicate changes needed within operations and technology to support portfolio optimization activities.

  • Establish a strategy to advance the businesses analytics and reporting capabilities to provide continual data driven guidance and insight into the results of the portfolio, including delivery against portfolio level reporting requirements.

  • Contribute to group level Investment Committee meetings, providing guidance on large deals/relationships.

  • Own "the story" for Climate portfolio management in conjunction with the Head of Strategy and liaise with other internal parties to ensure this is reflected consistently in external materials/communications.

Experience Sought:

  • 10+ years of experience in the financial markets, overseeing portfolio construction activities, ideally with experience in considering ESG/sustainability factors in portfolio construction.

  • An experienced, imaginative problem-solver who can demonstrate strong leadership experience in a variety of settings.

  • Experience and EQ to manage and develop a small team of Climate investment professionals.
