For 17 years, Sedex has led the way in helping businesses operate responsibly and sustainably, improving working conditions for each of their 60,000 members across 180 countries. Under the guidance of new CEO, Simon McCalla, a renewed Senior Leadership Team is 18 months into delivering a new 5-year strategy that will see Sedex go from influencing 33 million people, to 150 million by 2025. Sedex's platform is well-recognised globally as a trusted responsible sourcing solution, but now needs to cater for the evolution of an ever-growing membership base, as the company positions itself to take a leading role in driving policy and tackling the social and environmental issues that the world faces.

People are at the heart of Sedex's solutions and that's also true of its organisation. Every member of the team and wider community are dedicated to creating social equality on a global scale. The organisation will continue to build collaborative relationships with like-minded businesses that also strive to improve and protect working conditions, across a diverse range of supply chains.

  • Becoming a key spokesperson for Sedex - determining the organisation's policy positions on a range of social and environmental issues

  • Evolving the assessment tool metrics alongside the Head of Social Impact, to assist in driving worker impact

  • Working with members to ensure they leverage their membership to the fullest, while working internally to continue developing and evolving the organisation's offering

You will have:

  • Strong decision making and leadership skills, with a collaborative management style, to inspire and engage your team and wider business

  • An in-depth knowledge of both regional and international business policies, with the ability to apply a sharp commercial eye to member operations

  • A deep understanding of the challenges faced by sustainability professionals working in member organisations, with a solution focused mindset

  • The experience and capabilities for making a difference to improving global supply chains, with the ability to be pragmatic in a business context

  • A thorough grasp of business strategy, with proven results in delivering change and bringing best practice when solving complex challenges
