Acre is delighted to be supporting the appointment of a Head of Stakeholder Engagement and Communications. This new role, reporting to the Vice President of Sustainability, is responsible for developing and delivering an engagement strategy across public relations, investor relations, corporate affairs, and employee communications, to strategically position the company for continued growth while maximising impact for the host communities and local workforce.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience in creating a cohesive, sustainability message in a challenging industry, working with a range of stakeholders, from NGOs to investors

  • An ability to manage the fine balance between genuine alignment with principles of sustainability while acknowledging the importance of commercial viability

  • An evidence-based approach to providing guidance on policy and regulatory matters, coupled with the confidence to present at C-level

  • A proven background in strategic corporate communications, lobbying, and/or marketing

  • An ability to build credibility and influence with a wide range of global stakeholders

  • Previous experience creating content for a broad range of media channels

The position will support key engagement requirements across the company to create meaningful two-way dialogue with the aim of minimising barriers and bringing mutual benefit to all parties, including investors, employees, regulators, suppliers, and local communities, media, labour unions, NGOs, governments, and policy makers.

In this role you will:

  • Oversee and proactively manage and reinforce the company's reputation through public and community relations, marketing, corporate affairs, and workforce communications

  • Identify challenges and emerging issues (including legal and ethical) requiring internal or external communication and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them

  • Develop and drive integrated stakeholder planning, proactive marketing and brand management, ensuring a coordinated strategic approach

  • Develop messaging, content and material / collateral for corporate stakeholder engagement, and, where necessary, advise and assist the assets to ensure control and consistency in messaging

  • Facilitate information flow between company functions and all stakeholders in a manner that demonstrates care about stakeholder issues, concerns and ideas, and consideration in decision making

  • Promoting a workplace culture that is diverse, safety focused, delivery orientated, and efficiency driven
