You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Proxy Voting and Engagement department

  • Leading the activities related to ESG ratings of listed companies in Switzerland

  • Leading operational engagement activities with Swiss listed companies

  • Participate in extended management tasks

  • Leading a team of 6 Analysts, you will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of services and compliance

  • Providing voting recommendations for investment clients.

  • Carrying out ESG evaluations, ESG research and engagement activities with companies.

  • Reviewing the proxy reports and research of the Analysts, issuing recommendations to pension fund members, validating voting recommendations, chairing committees, and inputting on voting guidelines.

  • This individual will have the scope to be an activist on the E & S.

The ideal candidate will ideally have the following skills:

  • University degree in business administration or equivalent

  • Proven experience in proxy voting, engagement and corporate governance activities of listed companies

  • In particular, it is essential that this individual has strong knowledge of 'Corporate Governance' as they can learn 'E' and 'S' over time

  • This individual will be familiar with the proxy voting process (i.e. understanding what goes into an annual report, shareholder returns, how a company is run, the content of AGMs etc.).

  • Experience in team management

  • Fluent English is a necessity, and French would be preferable. Otherwise a desire to learn French fluently over time.

  • A good command of German would be desirable but not essential.

  • ESG integration experience would be helpful.

  • Ideally familiar with the Swiss equity market, but this is not a necessity.

  • They must have an appreciation for the importance of this role and the potential for influence as a proxy advisor.
