Acre has been engaged on an exclusive basis by a high-profile property management and FM business to identify their new HSE Advisor. You will work closely with and report into the HSE Manager. In addition to supporting the general business as part of the HSE team, you will be responsible for delivering part of their internal audit program and managing their 45001 Certification for the Rural Asset Management department. The role will include travel around the UK and engagement with a wide stakeholder group including Facilities Managers, onsite employees, and contractors.

Some key responsibilities

  • As part of their ISO45001 Management system for Property Management, undertaking internal audits to an agreed program, and compiling suitable reports and action plans in a timely manner.

  • Providing input into the effectiveness and continual improvement of the ISO45001 Management systems for Property Management, taking the lead for Rural Asset Management.

  • Overseeing the implementation and operation of BSI BS9997 including the management of the online platform.

  • Developing, delivering, and facilitating health, safety, and environment training as necessary.

  • Assisting all staff with general health, safety, and environmental management enquiries by providing the best and most cost effective, but compliant, solution to HSE matters.

You'll need great engagement and influencing skills, the ability to coach and support non-technical stakeholders and be up for working in an open, collaborative and fast paced environment.

Experience required

  • Sound understanding of risk assessment and a practical approach to risk management

  • A self-starter with a good degree of initiative and self-motivation who can take ownership of tasks and deliver effective work without the need for close supervision.

  • Personality and flair to communicate with others in a professional and helpful manner at all levels in a variety of communication methods.

  • Experience operating ISO management systems

  • Ideally, GradIOSH, holding a NEBOSH General Certificate and working towards Diploma, or equivalent
