Acre is pleased to be working with a leading independent property consultancy offering agency and professional advice across the Commercial, Residential and Rural sectors to identify their new Health, Safety & Environment Manager.

Based in their London HQ & reporting onto the Head of Risk and Compliance, the HSE Manager will have responsibility for leading a small team of HSE professionals to maintain the firm's compliance and delivery in the areas of health and safety, fire safety, environmental management and incident management throughout the UK business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, monitor, maintain and advise on all aspects of the Firm's UK health, safety and fire policies and management systems, ensuring an effective platform for compliance with relevant legislation and control of significant risk.

  • As a member of the Firm's Responsible Business Strategy Group, lead on the development and implementation of the Firm's environmental management program.

  • Direct the Firm's fire safety strategy, particularly in response to ongoing changes in fire safety standards required for residential properties.

  • Manage the resources necessary to perform the above functions including the health and safety team and external consultants.

The role will require an individual to have a sound understanding of risk assessment and a practical approach to risk management. You will also need to be a self-starter with a good degree of initiative and self-motivation who can take ownership of tasks and deliver effective work without the need for close supervision.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Ideally you will be Chartered Member of IOSH, holding a NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent.

  • Practitioner Member of IEMA, or an equivalent environmental qualification

  • Experience operating ISO management systems

  • Previous experience in a senior health and safety / environmental role.

  • Experience in a management or supervisory role
