Acre is partnered with a global pharmaceutical organisation to recruit a Senior Sustainability Consultant to support their team through a busy 3-6 month period.

Clinigen operates globally in 120+ Countries. They offer streamlined critical medicines which have helped provide pre-approval drugs to over 80,000 patients with unmet medical needs.

As far as sustainability is concerned, Clinigen is already well engaged in it's sustainability journey with an agenda firmly in place. The Interim consultant will drive the sustainability business model and ensure commitments are met to a high standard, contributing with their experience and knowledge along the way.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in ESG or sustainability reporting, assurance, risk and controls, data governance and most of all, you will have a passion for sustainability. With your experience in internal control frameworks and reporting, plus strong business partnering, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills, you will be key to driving and delivering Clinigen's ESG strategy; helping to ensure the internal and external ESG reporting maintains momentum with evolving market practice and legal requirements; and ensuring ESG is at the forefront of business agenda.

Location: Remote working, London-based HQ

Start Date: January 2023

Daily rate: £600-800 per day (Outside IR35), depending on experience

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Drive ESG performance enhancement across operations.

  • Partner with multiple different teams across the business to embed processes and controls.

  • Manage the continued development of ESG programs and related reporting.

  • Carry out materiality assessments, peer benchmarking, stakeholder engagement, gap analysis, metric/KPI identification, and the preparation of reporting (internal and external) materials.

  • Work across legal compliance, risk management, statutory and internal reporting of energy efficiency, water use, waste and recycling, sustainable procurement, and social and governance.

  • Help establish internal reporting of ESG performance, including regular internal forecasting and planning processes for non-financial metrics to ensure commitments and targets are met.

Education/skills requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in ESG strategy, transformation roadmaps and policy setting

  • 5+ years of work experience within ESG and Sustainability

  • Experience inspiring drive and confidence in others.

  • Be comfortable working autonomously and able to learn concepts outside of your area of expertise.

  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation, and project management skills.

  • Understanding of ESG/Sustainability standards for example but not limited to GRI, SASB, TCFD etc.
