Acre is working closely with a leading rail organisation to support them in bringing on an interim Safety Engineer. This is a 12-month initial contract based at home paying up to £675 per day.

You will be conducting a major research project, collating, and reviewing existing hazard lists, defining the methodology for developing the common hazard list and what the criteria for testing will look like. You will ultimately develop the common hazard list and reporting the results.

You will need extensive experience and knowledge in railway systems, sub-systems, their interfaces and interaction. Extensive practical experience applying and reviewing hazard identification and safety assessment techniques, with the knowledge of relevant legislation standards. Ideally, you would have worked in a role creating hazard lists in a safety manager or hazard log manager position. Experience in railway change projects is also desired.

Ideally, you will have worked on railway change projects covering various organisational and operational changes, as well as technical and engineering changes.
