Interim Strategic Ecologist - Remote

Acre has been engaged by a well-established organisation that operates in the property development industry. The business is looking for a Strategic Ecologist to join the team on an interim basis. Ideally, someone who comes from a Landscape Ecologist background, with exposure to working with or on behalf of the developers in a construction setting.

You will have the following attributes:

​

• A qualified ecologist/landscape ecologist with applied strategic ecology/green infrastructure experience in a construction or development context. (10+ yrs. experience/Principle ecologist)

• Is confident in communicating complex issues to non-ecologists and a range of external and internal stakeholders.

• Excellent knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain and its practical implementation along with green infrastructure and biodiversity best practice and policy in a planning and development context.

• Member of CIEEM or similar

• Although not essential, experience with schemes such as Building with Nature will be advantageous, as will experience of Nature Based Solutions/Natural Capital approaches.

• Ability to confidently influence and negotiate to achieve desired outcomes with diplomacy and pragmatism, building positive relationships and inspiring confidence with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

• Organised and flexible, managing multiple priorities whilst responding quickly to problems and requests for support with high level of attention to detail.
