Working with one of the largest commercial property development and investment companies in the UK, our client is seeking an Interim Sustainability Director hire to support the business and continue with crucial sustainability work across the entire company.

This is a 12-month contract, hybrid working at home and from their central London head office. This is an excellent and unique position to work for a prestigious real estate organisation, playing a pivotal role in their Sustainability team.

Managing a team of 6, you will be responsible for several vital workstreams, including:

  • Strategic oversight of their reporting, including but not limited to TCFD, CDP, DJSI and GRI.

  • Net Zero commitments, including SBTi's.

  • Managing key internal and external stakeholders, particularly with investors.

Whilst managing the team of 6, you will be delivering on the environment programme across the business, covering their standing portfolio and new developments. Managing the delivery of their transition to a net-zero plan is also a key part of this, monitoring progress and playing a key role in their energy and decarbonisation programme.

You will also lead all ESG submissions to external benchmarks.

You will have:

  • Sustainability or ESG experience within a Real Estate environment

  • Team management experience

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and, ideally, stakeholder management, particularly with investors etc.

  • Strong reporting experience on the above indices and frameworks, including TCFD, GRI, CDP, GRESB, and more.
