We are working with an innovative Growth Private Equity firm in their search for an Investment Partner, Sustainable Technology. Our client provides scale-up capital and operating support to companies across Europe that generate economic value by leveraging technology to make more efficient use of natural and human capital. This position will be responsible for overseeing the entire investment process for sustainable technology investments across Europe. The fund invests in EBITDA positive (or soon to be) businesses and consistently receives market-rate returns on their investments. The position can be based out of any major European city.

Responsibilities:

  • ​Oversee and participate in the origination a pipeline of growth stage sustainable technology investment opportunities in Europe.

  • Lead the coordination and execution of the entire investment process.

  • Monitor the portfolio with an adequate level of involvement (e.g.: board seat, site visits).

  • Develop expertise and a network of external partners/advisors in the focus areas of our clients by participating in events/conferences and build lasting relationships across the investor and investee community.

  • Play a leading role in current and future fundraising initiatives.

Requirements:

  • End to end investment deal experience and a strong investment track record.

  • The desire to deliver market rate returns in-conjunction with positive environmental and social impact.

  • Professional experience or interest in environmental solutions is a plus (climate, resource efficiency, circular economy, sustainable food & agriculture, new materials, green economy).

  • Network that includes banks, private equity funds, NGOs, development organisations, academia and other corporates in relevant European hubs.

  • Open, problem-solving and critical mindset; ability to analyse and synthesise.

  • Capable of being accepted & respected at board level. As a shareholder / board member able to act on and solve critical issues.

  • Strong academic background; MBA or CFA credentials is a plus.
